Greetings Programs! Time for me to do what a good Master Control Program does and write something to disk. Or something like that.
The wheels they are a turnin’ again. A new game idea has been percolating in my brain for the last couple of weeks. I had something of a flash this morning that might give it a fun spin. Of course, I need to get into the phase where I actually produce something to play test before I get too excited. It’d be nice to get to that phase sometime.
I’ve been playing a lot of Space Base lately. Of all the board games I’ve bought in the last year, it’s easily the game I’ve gotten to the table most and it’s only been a month. The gameplay is simple and keeps you engaged even when it isn’t your turn as your opponents’ dice rolls are even more important than your own as you’ll accumulate more resources on their turns than yours depending on the player count.
The last wrestling show of the season is coming up next Saturday. One of my childhood friends is coming out of retirement (he’s actually done this a couple of times already) to wrestle a guy who’s having his last match. They fought for the guy’s first match and he wanted to go against my friend one last time. It should be a good fight.
I’m going to have to start shading some mash-ups soon. I have three pieces waiting for the finishing touches. I have one finished piece left for this week’s installment so that should give me a little motivation to get my act in gear.
That’s all there is to say this week. Have a good seven and we’ll do this all again next Monday. End of line.
