Well the wonderful three-day weekend is almost to a close. Let’s finish off with a blog.
I just spent way too much time on Flickchart. It’s a website with a very basic principle: They show you two movies, you pick which one you like better. Eventually you should be able to build a list of your favorite movies. I feel like there should be a better logarithm because the way it matches movies up within your own rankings seems off. I said I liked Return of the Jedi better than A Boy Named Charlie Brown and it decided that I didn’t like it better than Star Wars or the Empire Strikes Back without asking me. Still, you have to go back and rerank movies. Transformers is nowhere near the top of my rankings but because it came up earlier, it ended up pretty high. I had to specifically go in to squash it down. It’s easy to lose yourself on the site. Curse you, Tom Vasel for mentioning it! 😉
I’m still enjoying my viewing of Deep Space Nine. I’m about a third of the way through the third season. There are some clunkers in there, but overall, the episodes are pretty solid. Anything featuring Quark is generally entertaining.
I’ve decided to dive into the Game of the Thrones Living Card Game…I’m not going to go all in. There’s just too much to go back and get. I’ll need to figure out which families I want to concentrate on and get the cards I need for those. The game is pretty good and I like the theme. I like Destiny better (duh).
I’m already halfway through drawing the Armello set. It feels like I just started. I drew Cyran as Barnaby (confusing I know, but Barnaby is a rabbit in Armello) first and for some reason I just haven’t wanted to color him. I started to remedy that today. I have the shading left to go.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print today. Have a good seven and we’ll do this all again next Monday. Carja V.
