Greetings Programs! Time to write the blog that you will then read. Our contract will be fulfilled for another week and we will continue along our predestined paths.
I biked to work for the first time this year today. Things went well enough. I learned that I still need to wear gloves in the morning. My hands still feel a little uncomfortable.
I tried a new game over the weekend. I finally got my hands on a copy of Mystic Vale and I’m impressed. It’s a card crafting game, that is you build your cards as you play. The system uses transparent cards with advancements printed in one of three sections. You insert the advancements you buy in plastic sleeves so the next time you play the card you gain the effects of the advancement you added to it. AEG is using the system in its new game, Edge of Darkness, which has apparently been in development for a while. There was an advertisement for it in the copy of Mystic Vale I bought (Mystic Vale was released in 2016) and Edge of Darkness successfully funded through Kickstarter earlier this year. Having now played Mystic Vale and tried out the card crafting system for myself, I’m even happier that I backed Edge of Darkness.
There was an FCL show on Saturday. It was leagues better than the last card they put on. The final show of the season is in June. It’s not looking like Fab and Lyne will be able to make it. I don’t know that I want to go on my own, so I might not attend either. It’s looking like a good card though so I’ll have to see.
The first Armello piece went up last Wednesday. I got a retweet which was nice. The last time I got some feedback from someone other than a friend or regular follower was when I did the League of Legends set. I don’t think Armello’s following is quite as large, but anything that attracts outside attention is good.
That’s all for this week, I think. Have a good seven and we’ll do this all again next Monday. Carja V.
