Hello and good Friday all. It’s time for a quick little Flashback.
I believe Man-E-Faces was my first Masters of the Universe action figures. He was definitely the first one to get broken when I lent him to a friend who managed to break the (THICK) elastic cord that held his legs together. His action feature was simple but neat. You could turn the little dial on his head and switch faces so he could take on different roles. Forget that the rest of his body remained the same, it was all about his faces. He didn’t appear much in the cartoon. The only thing I seem to remember was an episode where Man-E-Faces and Ram-Man got into a disagreement.
Here’s Red Rich as Man-E-Faces or as I’ve redubbed him, Fur-E-Faces (another great pun if I do say so myself). Of course, I drew three different faces for him just like the toy. The trickiest part was making sure the helmet looked like it fit.
Here’s the comparison to the original. All I can say is wow were the proportions off on the original.
That’s all for this week. One last Flashback and then the new pieces.
