You enter…a dungeon and there you meet…a weasel. You thought I was going to say “dragon”, didn’t you? Let it not be said that I am entirely predictable. Mostly predictable? Sure! Hackneyed? Obviously! But not ENTIRELY predictable. Nay! That is a line that I will not cross! Anyway! On to the mash-up!

Warlocks, wizards and sorcerers are all magic users. It’s tough to make them visually distinctive from one another. I’ve done the wizard and the sorcerer and here’s Mina as a warlock. When I hear “warlock” I immediately think “dark” so that’s what I went with here. Mina’s long, thin neck doesn’t lend itself well to hoods, so I went with a different covering for just her ears. I don’t hate it.

That’s all for this week. I may be sticking with the roleplaying motif for next week’s installment. What does that mean? Pore over the archives to find out! Or you know, come back next Wednesday! But the former means my page hits go up so I wouldn’t mind that at all!

Hello. That is a word for greeting people. It is useful for situations like this one where I am greeting you, the reader. There are other greeting words out there, but I chose this one. Hello. And now, on to the mash-up.

Bards are awesome. They’re jacks-of-all-trades. They can fight, they can cast spells, they can heal…and they do it by singing songs (or otherwise performing). My main character in DDO is a bard which isn’t a great class for soloing, but I couldn’t help myself. If I were to play in a D&D campaign tomorrow, I’d play a bard. Again, in tying in with my love of Robin Hood lore, bards make me think of Alan-a-Dale. He’s a secondary character in the legends, but one of my favorites.

Nektara was the easy fit to play the bard. In her early days she was always carrying a flute with her. It was her gimmick. With her musical talent, I’m sure she’d be a great bard. I was originally going to show her actually playing the flute, but I just couldn’t get the pose to look right. This is a more static pose, but it works find. Colouring Nektara’s hair is always fun, I don’t quite know why.

Bard

That’s it for this week and also for the Dungeons & Dragons set of mash-ups! Next week a whole new theme begins. Find out what it is, next Wednesday!

Another Wednesday came and went with nary a mash-up to be seen. Here I am Thursday morning wondering what’s wrong with my brain that I keep forgetting stuff. That answer not being forthcoming, let’s just get to this week’s mash-up.

Rangers are one of my very favorite classes (next week’s post will be of my very favorite). They remind me of Robin Hood and I very much like that legend so there you are. Rangers are archers with some magic sprinkled in. I’m not sure because it was a long time ago, but I think my first character was a ranger. If it wasn’t my first, then it was one of my earliest ones for sure.

Here’s Todrick the ranger. It’s a little reminiscent of his go at being Arrow. Still, I think this turned out okay.

Ranger

That’s all for this week. Next week’s installment is the final D&D post. If you look back at who’s gone before you should be able to figure out who’s next, but I won’t spoil it here. See you next Wednesday (hopefully) for the official reveal!

It’s Wednesday and I’m typing up this week’s mash-up installment! Let’s see if I actually remember to click Publish when I’m done (seriously, I seem to have a problem with this).

Rogues are cool, but I don’t think I’ve ever played one. I’m not usually the stealthy type so playing a rogue isn’t a natural fit for me. In DDO, rogues are one of the few characters classes you cannot have as basic hirelings yet they can make such a difference. They’re the only ones who can really unlock doors or disarm traps and many quests are much more difficult if you can do neither of these things. That’s why I chose to give my Bard character a couple of levels of Rogue just so she’d have a chance when she was soloing quests (which is ALL the time since I don’t play in groups).

So of course Sass is the group’s rogue. This is probably my second favorite piece for this set (Barnaby as the barbarian is still top of the list).

Rogue

That’s all for this week. The set is winding down. Just two more D&D classes to go! Find out who’s next, next Wednesday!

So I’m late again. I went to see The Jungle Book last night (I liked it) and totally forgot about the Wednesday Mash-up. So here it is, on Thursday!

I can’t get into playing a paladin because they skew too far on the alignment scale either in concept. They’re a little too close to zealotry for my tastes, though their power set is interesting. It’s a good mix of fighter and cleric, able to deal great damage and some healing power for support.

Was there anybody else who could play the paladin other than Red Rich? He’s pretty much a paladin minus the divine magic as it is. It’s been a while since I offered a palette set of Riches. Since this theme isn’t set for any specific characters, it lends itself well to it, so here are Red, Blue and Green Rich as paladins.

That’s all for this week. New character class to follow. See you next Wednesday!
