Wednesday has snuck up on us again and that means one thing around here: MASH-UPS!
This week’s theme is Street Fighter. A quick check shows that I haven’t tackled video games yet (Tron doesn’t count) and that’s all the reason I need. This theme got me to play around a little with poses, specifically fighting poses.
First up is Nektara as Chun-Li. Chun-Li was one of my go-to characters in Street Fighter II because her combos were easy to do. This was probably the most difficult pose to figure out. I had to cheat a little with the length of Nektara’s legs to get it to work at all.
If you take Green Rich and add a military look and straight blond hair, apparently, you get Guile.
Zoë gets to play Cammy. I bet you didn’t know that Zoë had such killer abs huh? Me neither! She’s wearing a beret just like I did at Comic-Con this year!
Vega (or Balrog as he was known in the original Japanese version of the game) is played by Cyran. Why Vega for Cyran? Well, the claws gave me a way to incorporate wrenches in his design and the ears could replicate Vega’s long braids.
Finally, we have the main villain of the game, Big Oonch is M. Bison, or Vega for those of you more familiar with the original Japanese version. The problem with Oonch (and Cyran) is that he has no legs to speak of, which means that I couldn’t give him M. Bison’s cool shin guards. I think he looks good without them though. It’s all about the hat!
Okay, that’s all for now. Come back next week as we continue duking it out in the streets!
