Hi there! How’s it going? It’s Monday again and that means time to blog!
A couple of weeks ago, I discovered a little app game called WWE Super Card. The premise is simple: Collect cards of your favorite wrestlers. Build a stable of four male wrestlers and one female wrestler and then pit your stable against other stables to win more cards that you can use to train your stable or replace stable members if you get one you like better. They have weekly events that can score you rarer cards and you can choose to spend money (I haven’t) to buy more cards without playing. It’s simple yet incredibly addictive. I’ve been playing a LOT! My stable level is about to hit Epic+ and I’m still working on training my current stable to their max levels.
The card progression is : Common < Uncommon < Rare < Super Rare < Ultra Rare < Epic < Legendary < Survivor < Wrestlemania
Each series is two out of three falls. At random the computer will choose Single, Tag Team or Diva matches with either one or two out of the four stats as being the key stat. You pick the wrestler who has the best rating in the given stat(s) and hope it’ll beat your opponent’s wrestler. Wrestlers have special abilities that can boost stats and there are manager and object cards that you can also play on a fall to give yourself a boost or penalize your opponent. If you win the series, you get to draw two cards from the board. If you lose, you only get to pick one. At first you’re hoping to draw Rare cards but as your stable progresses, you unlock the possibility to draw better cards. When I hit Epic+ level, I’ll have a slightly better chance of drawing Epic cards than I do right now at simply Epic level. Then it’ll be on to Epic++ and following that Legendary and so forth.
In other news, I went up to St-Tite this weekend for a friend’s birthday. We visited the observatory his parents own (it came with the house when they bought it). The telescope isn’t fully operational at the moment, but it’s an impressive piece of technology. To top it all off, the top of the observatory was built in the shape of an owl. All in all, it was a cool visit.
And that my friends, is the week that was. Have a good seven and we’ll do it all again next Monday. Carja V.
